No code

No code refers to all the tools and platforms that allow you to create applications, automations or websites without writing code, via visual drag-and-drop interfaces.
It enables you to gain in speed and autonomy for well-defined use cases (internal tools, MVP, automations). Beyond a certain complexity, however, bespoke development remains more relevant.

No-code in practice

When no-code is relevant

  • Simple internal tools: workflows, forms, operational tracking.
  • Very fast MVP to validate an idea before coding.
  • Automations between SaaS tools (Zapier, Make, n8n).
  • Showcase websites, landing pages, schools, training.

Essential tools

  • Foundations : Airtable, Notion.
  • Apps : Bubble, Softr, Glide, Adalo.
  • Automation : Zapier, Make, n8n.
  • Websites : Webflow, Framer.

Limitations of no-code

  • Performance and customisation at high volume.
  • Platform lock-in - export and migration often limited.
  • Costs that quickly escalate with users.
  • Compliance (GDPR, SOC 2) sometimes insufficient for regulated sectors.
