embedded AIdirectly in the robot
The need
- Yomy, a startup founded by cat enthusiasts, develops a smart food dispenser based on the natural rhythm of felines, equipped with a connected scale and a colour/infrared camera.
- Before launching industrialisation, Yomy needed to develop embedded AI capable of detecting a cat and identifying it among several in multi-cat households, in order to automatically feed each animal according to its specific needs.
Galadrim's solution
- Galadrim developed embedded Computer Vision AI capable of detecting the presence of a cat in front of the dispenser and identifying it among several individuals from the same household.
- The mission began with a hardware sizing phase to ensure short inference times while controlling the robot's production costs.
- The AI model was optimised to run directly on the embedded hardware.
