The need
- Sworn translators certify translations intended for government bodies, courts, and consulates. This process relied on paper: stamp and handwritten signature, followed by hand delivery or postal dispatch of the document. Cumbersome for the translator, it offered the recipient government body no simple way to verify that a translation was authentic. Ne Varietur aimed to entirely dematerialise this process, without losing any of its legal value.
Galadrim's solution
- Galadrim designed and developed the platform end-to-end. The translator shares a personalised upload page with their clients to receive documents, then certifies the translation directly online: qualified eIDAS electronic signature and 2D-Doc stamp affixed to the document. A unique Ne Varietur identifier links the translation to its original, allowing any recipient to verify its authenticity online. Each certified document is stored in a digital safe.
