The need
- Med Surg Support is an endowment fund created in 2022 by a couple of Lyon-based digestive surgeons, which equips university hospitals in emerging countries with laparoscopy equipment and trains local teams in minimally invasive surgery.
- These on-site missions remain ad hoc and dependent on equipment: during an intervention in Ethiopia, an insufflator failure forced the team to return to open surgery and switch to theoretical courses supported by clinical case videos. It was necessary to extend this training between missions, without relying on a physical presence.
Galadrim's solution
- Galadrim designed and developed the training web interface, in French and English, structured around a simple pathway: an entry quiz, the operative video, then a validation quiz.
- The project was carried out from conception to development between March and July 2026, with a dedicated design phase before coding, and transitions to maintenance upon completion of developments.
