The need
- De Sangosse, a major player in agro-supply, wanted to help farmers optimise their phytosanitary treatments by relying on precise field data rather than estimations.
- The objective was to develop a mobile application connected to a smart sensor, capable of automatically detecting and counting the number of slugs on a plot to advise the farmer on the appropriate treatment.
Galadrim's solution
- Galadrim took over and developed the Limacapt mobile application, connected via IoT to the smart sensor deployed on agricultural plots.
- The sensor automatically detects and counts the slugs present in the monitored area, and transmits the data in real-time to the farmer's mobile application.
- The application analyses the sensor data and recommends the optimal phytosanitary treatment, allowing farmers to treat their crops in a reasoned way and optimise their input costs.
